The Mobile Apps Man
11th December 2019
Details:
On 21 July 1942, the first of a well-trained, fierce Japanese fighting force landed on the northern beaches of the Territories of New Guinea and Papua with the intent to capture Port Moresby, and use it as a base to attack mainland Australia. By early September 1942, the Japanese were within 48 kilometres of Port Moresby, and could see the lights of the town as they fiercely fought their way down the 100km long Kokoda Track. In this informative talk, hear a recount of the Kokoda Campaign as Kirk Duncan shares some stories, pictures and videos of his recent Kokoda trek.
